Bhangarh Fort- The unknown mystery: Bhangarh Fort was built in the 17th century in Rajasthan. It is situated on the border of Sariska Reserve in the Aravali range of hills in the Alwar district of Rajasthan. It is 235 km from Delhi and the last 2km is an unpaved road. The nearest airport is Jaipur international airport which is about 90 km from the fort. The fort was built by Bhagwant Das for his younger son Madho Singh. There have been lots and lots of suspicious activities that have been reported by people who visited this fort at night and is termed as one of the most haunted places in India.

There is a lot of mystery about the Bhangarh fort. No one knows the exact incident as to why the Bhangarh Fort is termed as haunted. Some say that King Madho decided to build a fort inside Bhangarh. The area used to be a meditating spot for Guru Balu Nath. Although he gave permission to build the fort but he gave the warning that the moment the shadow of the fort falls on Balu, the city will be no more and then this is what happened, the fort got destroy and left with ruins. After that incident, whenever a house was built in that area, the roof would subsequently destroy on its own.
Another local says that a black magician or evil saint who fell in love with the princess of Bhangarh town and attempted to use black magic to win her affection. However, the princess dodged his moves by flinging the lotion onto a boulder, which then rolled down toward the magician, physically crushing him. Before taking his final breath, he cursed the fort, saying it would end up in a state in which no one could live and till today many could not return back from the fort after sunset.
Archeological Survey of India has also put their boardings on the Bhangarh fort that no one should enter the fort after sunset because of the unknown paranormal activity taking inside the fort. An incident that happened in the fort is that two young boys went inside the fort after sunset but never returned home. Another such incident is that a boy decided to go inside the fort at night with a light lamp but fell in a steep well located in the middle of the fort. Though he was being saved by his friends, all the three died in a car accident.
Another horrifying incident was a group of youths bribed the gatekeeper so they could enter the fort at night and after sometime when they entered the fort they saw that a boy alone was sitting inside a room but the creepy part was that there were no accessible doors or windows. The famous news channels also went inside the fort after sunset and after some time even they heard some creepy voices.
Although it is still unknown why this fort is haunted but still it is an exciting place for tourists even after being one of the most haunted places in India.
