India vs South Africa- Mayank Agarwal the unstoppable

You must be knowing Mayank Agarwal after he has attained his place in the Indian Cricket Team, but he has been performing well since his Ranji Trophy and his stats always made him believe that he is going to make it to the squad once.

He scored a maiden triple century(304) while battling for Karnataka against Maharastra in the first-class season 2017-18. He went on to score 1000+ runs in that season and ended the season on a high note with 1160 runs.

Mayank Agarwal did not settle for this and went on to score runs in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in that particular season with 723 odd runs in eight matches which is a big milestone that any cricketer dreams of. But still, hope for playing for India was not fulfilled.

He, in 2018 was also awarded the Madhav Rao Scindia award for the most runs in a single Ranji Trophy season of 2017-18 by the BOARD OF CONTROL FOR CRICKET IN INDIA.

Mayank Agarwal was also neglected during the IPL as he was not given deserved chances and was seen sitting at the dugout. With that determination of performing well in the Ranji Trophy, he went on to impress in the Ranji Trophy and booked his place in the National Side.

With 5 matches and 9 innings, Mayank Agarwal has managed 497 runs with an average of 55.22 which is obviously sensational for a player who has recently joined the Indian Cricket Team squad for the first time in any format.
