Road Safety series- All you need to know: The league featuring many great cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara, Jhonty Rhodes, Virendra Sehwag and many more. The league is set to begin from February 2 in Mumbai and February 16 in Pune. The league is organized for the safety of roads in India because road accidents are increasing in huge numbers as days are passing. It is sad to see so many families suffering from the horrifying recklessness. So in order to promote road safety in India, this league is taking place featuring the greatest of the game.

The captain of the five teams will be Sachin Tendulkar from India, Virendra Sehwag from India, Brett Lee from Australia, Tillakaratne Dilshan from Sri Lanka, and Jhonty Rhodes from South Africa. All the five teams will be looking for a competitive tournament keeping in mind to promote road safety in India and bring people together to promote this activity. As of now, it is learned that 75 players from the five countries would be taking part.
The league will have 10 matches where each team will play the other followed by a final to end the tournament. The tournament would be similar to the IPL where franchises would be taking care of the players.
Sunil Gavaskar, who has been appointed as the commissioner of the tournament said that the players will obviously play to promote road safety in India. As India is a developing country, we need to look into each and every matter that is causing harm to the country and the countrymen. The proceeds of the road safety series will obviously be used by the road safety cells.
The inaugural edition has been promoted by “Shant Bharat Shurakshit Bharat”, which is an organization that has been working with the road transport department of Maharastra government. The league is set to bring competition and road safety promotion together and fans would once again light up in huge numbers at the stadium to see their childhood favorites play once again with the same passion and hunger.
