Sourav Ganguly set to become unopposed BCCI president: The “Prince of Kolkata”, Sourav Ganguly is set to become the new president of the Board Of Control For Cricket In India(BCCI). With no one to stand as an opposition to Sourav Ganguly, he has filed his nominations for the post of the President on Monday at the BCCI headquarters. While his filing, N Srinivasan and Niranjan Shah were present at the headquarters on Monday. Sourav Ganguly will become the second Indian cricketer to become the president of the BCCI.

What happened inside the four walls that have led to this drama in the selection of the post of the president of BCCI. News are coming that N Srinivasan had organized dinner fro around 100 BCCI members so that he can pull them towards his nominee Brijesh Patel for the post of the BCCI president. But the BCCI said that because of which the board had to face consequences would not be brought back to the board’s committee.
With this drama, Sourav Ganguly is set to become the new president fo BCCI who is currently serving as the president of the cricket association of Bengal. Sourav is now likely to win the election without any opposition and would become the second Indian cricketer to be the president of the BCCI. With Anurag Thakur’s support as he belives in Sourav very much and feels that he can bring some changes in the domestic as well as international development.
Meanwhile, Arun Dhumal, the younger brother of MoS finance and former BCCI president Anurag Thakur will be the new treasurer and Union Minister Amit shah’s son Jay Shah will be the secretary.
Sources reveal that Sourav Ganguly has been receiving a lot of support from every corner of the world and there is rarely any hater of “DADA” who has served the Indian Cricket for so long and is likely to do the same with honesty and integrity as the president of the BCCI. Interacting with the media Sourav said, ” I do not want any fight with anyone, rather what I want is that every cricketer and cricket is given respect and is looked after properly and with honesty. I will, first of all, look after the players in the first-class level and will develop first-class cricket in India which I was requesting for three long years. Thereafter everything will run as smooth as it is running with cricket and cricketers being the utmost priority”.
